On the threshold of  77th Independence Day of our nation Iam glad about the fact that we have attained many milestones under the leadership of our Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi and Bharatiya janata party tenure which had witnessed an unprecedented support from the general public because of many welfare schemes initiated by the government.Some of the schemes which I can vouch for as a karyakarta of Bharatiya Janata Party are Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadi Pariyojana and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana .Under these schemes many common people became beneficiaries including my family because we relied on Jan Aushadi medicines for the treatment of my parents who were recovering from chronic disease and since these generic medicines were made available for the price which are almost half the price of what we get from other medical shops and some even costs only ten percent of the market price. This has helped us to save lot of money on medicines. Though there were apprehensions in the mind of the patients about the quality of generic medicines many doctors now approve the medicines from Jan aushadi and recommend them. We have many outlets in our city and all of them have ample stocks of medicines. These outlets have become popular due to the distribution of medicines at affordable price. It also reflects our self reliance in the pharma sector and a philanthropic endeavour of our government. Jan Dhan Yojana on the other hand empowered women a great deal by facilitating them to open zero balance bank accounts of every unbanked household. Women deposits increased considerably and brought them under the formal banking system. They became beneficiaries of the incentives by the government through electronic clearing system directly to their savings bank account. Sector-wise credit to women customers indicates that credit has increased in almost all major heads like agriculture, manufacturing industry and trade during financial year 2019-2023.

The Election in Pakistan was a triumph of Electoral Politics.The dismisssal of Pak Premier Imran Khan and appointment of Army backed Shehbaz Sharif at the helm due to allegations of corruption on Imran The Tehreek-e-Insaf emergence as a winner with 100 odd seats out of 265 seat national Assembly is Euphoric. Imran Khan's Party and his colleagues can take this as a moral victory considering the accusations leveled against him and disqualification to contest the Elections to the General Assembly.Army Chief General Asim Munir invited the PML-N to form a government and also requested the other parties to join forces with Nawaz Sharif to save the Nation from the Economic Crisis.Since the final results are yet to be declared its to be seen whether they get the required Majority with the help of other Independents. The run up to the Election was marked with enthusiasm innate to pak polity which ensured large participation of the voters who wants to see democracy in full swing.Amidst allegations of Rigging and Mobile internet Ban people excercised their Franchise without much violence.The Polling Percentage was around 52%. As an observer of Pakistan Politics I reckon the rise of former cricketer turned politician Imran Khan after the demise of PPP [Pakistan People's Party] leader Benazir Bhutto kept the Popularism intact.I have vivid memories of 1992 world cup cricket final when pakistan defeated England and his podium speech where he dedicated the world cup victory to the whole subcontinent.Moreover his philanthrophic parleys to raise funds to build a Hospital for cancer patients in memorium of his mother Shaukat khannum in Lahore who died of cancer catapulted him to the public arena of politics.Though his fledgling Party Tehreek-E-Insaf has minimal presence this result can be seen as a major landmark for his party and their cadres. Pakistan Election commision has to be lauded for smooth conduct of Elections held on 8th of February 2024.

THE EVENT WAS IN ITS SEVENTH  YEAR AND THOUGH WE MISSED A COUPLE OF YEARS DUE TO PANDEMIC RESTRICTIONS EARLIER IT IS AGAIN BACK IN FULL SWING..IT'S A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL ASPIRING WRITERS TO SEE THEIR IDOLS CONVERSE WITH THEM IN FLESH AND BLOOD AND ALSO FOR THOSE ATTENDEES TO SEE AND INTERACT WITH  MANY CELEBRITIES FROM  DIFFERENT DOMAINS. THE SESSIONS FROM MORNING TO EVENING WERE ORGANISED BY THE AUTHORITIES  AND  VOLUNTEERS DID THEIR DUTY  IMPECCABLY  TO ENSURE THE SESSIONS WERE COMPLETED IN TIME  AND REFRESHMENTS FOR THE INVITEES WERE ARRANGED PROPERLY. THERE WAS AN EXCLUSIVE FOOD COURT OF KUDUMBASREE WORKERS, COSMOPOLITAN CAFE AND PARAGON RESTAURANT  TO CATER TO THE NEEDS OF ALL VISITORS. SINCE THE EVENT WAS CONDUCTED IN A PUBLIC PLACE IDEAL FOR SUCH A BIG EVENT. AMPLE PARKING AREA HELPED TO AVOID PARKING WORRIES..

I ALSO HAD  A CHANCE TO INTERACT WITH  EMINENT CRICKETER AND FORMER INDIAN OPENER MR.ARUN LAL IN A SESSION TITLED " PITCHSIDE -MY LIFE IN CRICKET|".WHERE HE POINTS OUT THE NEED FOR INDIA TO  CONCENTRATE ON TEST CRICKET AND THE NEED TO CURATE THE PITCHES THAT FAVOUR SPIN BOWLING AT OUR HOME GROUNDS SINCE WE ARE A FEW NOTCHES DOWN IN THE WORLD TEST RANKINGS. THE COMMERCIAL SUCCESS OF INDIAN CRICKET SUBDUED THE GAME''S QUALITY IN THE LONGER VERSION. I ATTENDED MANY SESSIONS WITH BOOK AUTHORS AND HAD A CHANCE TO MEET RENOWNED MALAYALAM AUTHORS LIKE K.R. MEERA AND BEHNYAMIN WHO WERE DISCUSSING ABOUT THEIR BOOKS WITH THE  AUDIENCE. #HANGMAN (ആരാച്ചാർ) OF MEERA WAS A BEST-SELLING NOVEL IN MALAYALAM THAT DEPICT INTRICACIES IN THE LIFE OF A HANGMAN.

After a long hiatus I was in Bengalurru to pursue my academic interests for a sojourn of three dqys on a frugal budget.it doesn’t deter me from Indulging in personal fetishes which bengalurru alone can satiate considering its amenities and being a Metropolitan city .During my employment days Bengaluru helped to change my outlook about Urbanisation. when we walk down the street we may feel a sense of pride when we see the big outlets of corporations which have Multi National Presence where many of our Employees enjoy the perks and work environment akin to their peers worldwide. It’s a fact that I aspired to be one among them though Iam out of sync now. I get a feel of it whenever I visit the Expo comprises of representatives of various Multi-National Corporations  MNC’s based in India and Abroad. This Time the Sponsors of the Event were ELE Times a New Delhi based Publishing Group and it was an Exclusive Auto and Electronic Vehicle Expo. The Expo was organized by Karnataka Trade Promotion Organization –KTPO  in their Precincts for three days The Event had all the Paraphernalia of the Electronic Vehicle Industry. I had a great experience while I net Entrepreneurs and also my old colleague who’s the Honcho of an Electronic Vehicle Station Provider,Bengaluru is like a second home in that respect. Make in India initiative by our government made India a hub for Manufacturers and also Research and Development center of Major corporations who has shifted their base to India and Karnataka Trade Promotion Organization - KTPO were the Main facilitator.

On the occasion of his 100th birthday which is on October 20 I wish him good health and I would like to pen my thoughts on the leader who I admire most in kerala politics as I was also a keen follower of Marxist party and he live upto the ideals of communism and was a source of inspiration to millions of party workers. I got a glimpse of him as he drove past me in his ambassador car when I was on a stroll near mananchira long time ago which I vividly remember. His speeches were an inspiration to cadres and they adore him.Vellikakkathu Sankaran Achutanandan was born on October 20 1923 to sankaran and akkamma .Though he had school education only up to 7th standard he was a member of communist party of Indiia at a very young age. he took part in punnapra vayalar agitation and undergone prison sentence during the rule of Dewan C.P Ramaswamy Iyer .He was inspired by comrade P.Krishnapillai which led to his association with the party.he rose to become a popular leader of kerala as  party secretary and later the chief minister of kerala of CPIM Led Left Democratic Front .He was the 20th Chief Minister of Kerala and CPI M spread its wings to all parts of kerala during his rein.Though people accuse of divisiveness in the party VS as he’s popularly known among comrades stuck to the party which shows his belief in the party mechanism and the dangers of having two power centres within the party.CPIM-Commmunist party of India Marxist garnered many votes on his popularity as he is a leader admired by the masses for his principled approach in dealing with issues and for his oratory skills.He led many fights against corruption including munnar and mullaperiyar when he was the chief minister. He led the agitation of the peasants popularly known as vettinirathal samaram which underline his status as a leader who took popular stance.

Sandhya

Vasishta a sage born from Brahma’s macrocosm and considered his supreme son. Vashishta a handsome hermit indulged in meditation for eons during that period a girl child was born not from copulation but from Brahma’s orgasmic mood. She grew up abruptly into an attractive damsel endearing to all. She was named Sandhya. All creators in heaven were spellbound by her beauty and her father Brahma had an incestuous lust towards her. She despised the carnal desire in her which evoked lust in her father and brothers as the reason for her subjugation where the body gets prominence over her mind. She decided to give up her body and went for penance on the banks of the Chandrabagha River Vashista in the form of a child accompanied her to the river and advised the way of penance. she stood on one leg with hands folded upwards and eyes focusing on the tip of the nose with mind devoted to vishnupada (Foot of Lord Vishnu). This meditation reverberated in all three worlds of Kailasa, Sathya Loka and palazhi {Abodes of Trinity lord Shiva, Brahma and Mahavishnu }Mahavishnu on his mount Garuda appeared before her and asked her to request a boon. it was like this “The organisms should not engage in sensual desires in childhood. lust should happen only in adulthood. She wants to be a loyal wife to her husband and no other person should look at her lustfully and if he does he should become an eunuch. Mahavishnu granted her this boon on the condition that she has to douse in the fire in a Mahayaga on the banks of Chandrabagha River conducted by sage Medhathidi son of Priyavratha to prove her chastity and she will be reborn as a daughter of Medhathidhi after the yaga. Lord touched her with his fingertip and immediately she attained an aura that instigated her to give up her life by plunging into the fire. She was charred to death and her body was accepted by Agnidevan the God of Fire and handed over to the suryadevan the sun god who cut her into two parts which eventually became Dawn and Dusk followed by her reincarnation as Arundathi.

A warm welcome was  accorded by the president of the united states Joe biden and the vice president kamala Harris for our prime minister .Narendra modi was revered as a statesman and a visionary by the united states of America and  Narendra Modi’s address to the congress was a ground breaking event.In his speech prime Minister said “When India grows the whole world grows  India’s freedom inspired many countries to free themselves from colonial rule.we have set new benchmarks for growth which will inspire many countries to emulate “.our vison is ‘Sabka vikas Sabka vishwas Sabka prayas’ –Together for everyone’s growth everyone’s trust and everyone’s efforts”. Being a largest democracy India can imbibe many qualities from the oldest democracy..India now a fastest growing economy has many things to offer to the united states of america as well. United States has ratified that India has done a great deal in women empowerment .The Bonhomie was palpable in the meeting followed by some important business deals. India’s semiconductor sector got a fillip as well as our space Industry .India would be the base for manufacturing components of fighter jets.India has agreed to sign the Artemis Accords for space research collaboration that can unshackle many possibilities.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan Born on February 26 1954 re-elected as Turkiye [Turkey] President in a tightly contested Election securing 52.2% votes against Kemal Kilicdaroglu led opposition alliance who secured 47.8% in a runoff election held on Sunday .The run-off was needed because in the first round no one has attained clear majority of 50%  .Erdogan’s AKP had secured 323 Seats out of 600 seats in the parliament .This can be described as Historic victory as Erdogan’s conservative policies got upper hand  against a more liberal Six party opposition led by Kemal Kilicdaroglu .

The Turkish president’s long road to political dominance began with his election as Istanbul Mayor in 1994 .The Secularist Elite who at that time dominated Turkey’s politics and feared the rise of Erdogan’s religious conservatism banned him from politics through a court decision that saw him imprisoned for four months over inciting religious hatred in a speech. This sentence in fact only bolstered Erdogans support with thousands of his supporters taking to the streets in protest. Erdogan has changed the Turkish republic to Islamic nation from Mustafa Kemal Ataturk who had converted mosques to museums during his reign. He formed justice and development party AKP  and went on to become the prime minister and later president .His regime allowed women to wear scarves and to flaunt Islamic symbols in public .In spite of natural calamities like earthquake which ravaged turkey and rising inflation people restored faith in Erdogan. He was at the helm for the past twenty years and he got mandate for another five years and since he took over turkey has grown as a nation. In a polarised verdict Islamic nationalism is going to stay in turkey and Erdogan stated that it’s a victory of their Democracy.  Erdogan was a former professional football player The significance of this victory is that it happened  in the 100th year of the abolition of  Ottoman caliphate .

Another hallmark of Mann Ki Baat were the anecdotes of our cottage industries engagement in making products indigenously for our own use and for exports This inspires us to look around to our surroundings and make use of the things that lie waste and not litter.he urged people to stop single use of plastic and proper recycling of E-waste .Mann Ki Baat is widely listened not only in India but abroad and translated in many foreign languages to the Diaspora

Assembly elections in the north east states of Tripura ,Meghalaya and Nagaland  witnessed a resurgent Bharatiya Janata party in Tripura and Nagaland and retained its seats in Meghalaya.In all these states the voter turnout above 80% is a testimony of our electoral democracy.North East Democratic Alliance headed by BJP has won more seats and their allies made considerable gains .Manik saha and Conrad Sangma the incumbent chief ministers of Tripura and Meghalaya respectively got the mandate to pursue their policies .Infact the main factor of Bharatiya Janata party’s win is the reflection of peoples confidence in their welfare policies.with this election the countdown to the national elections in 2024 begins .The welfare policies like ujjwala and jan dhan  of the center materialised the dreams of the people and consolidated their faith in the BJP.the north east region was deprived of development and now the development policies of the government were of great help in the upliftment of these states and this result is a resonance of the nation’s aspirations.This victory augurs well for Bharatiya janata party to go ahead with the Agenda “sabka saath sabka vikas “and act east policy.it also shows that as a national political party BJP has presence all over India.

Tyre Nichols killing in Memphis, Tennessee is yet another incident of police highhandedness in a short span of time .Earlier George Floyd was strangled to death by policeman Derek Chauvin while on patrol. This killing triggered a huge upheaval since the victim was a Black American and  instigated the campaign “Black Lives Matter“ which ended up in the regime change. Tyre Nichols was brutally attacked by the five policemen belonging to scorpion unit while on patrol and he died after few days of the incident The provocation to this police action is unknown but this time there is no racial prejudice since five of them belonged to african american race and the victim Tyre Nichols too.The Scorpion unit of Memphis police was disbanded and case is under investigation and the truth will be unearthed soon. This is a blot to the police force of the United States of America which otherwise uphold great moral values and regarded as a paragon in protecting lives .President Joe Biden condemned the killing.
